Financial Management Training

Project dates: 2021

Location: Urban settlements around Kampala

DNCR worked with local communities to ensure access to basic financial management skills. This enabled the locals to learn how to effectively use new fiscal opportunities to improve their every day spending and monthly savings. The skills taught were:

  • Basics in business bookkeeping
  • Basics in business management
  • Basics in stock control and inventory management
  • Basics in capital budgeting and decisions-making

The funding received from our individual support enabled learning around the effects of lacking such skills and knowledge on the slum communities. Further it helped us shape new strategies for building resilience and self-help among the impoverished urban communities.
