Our Board Members
Maureen (Founder and Board member)
Maureen is one of the founders of DNCR.
Maureen is an EIA practitioner and safeguards consultant with various humanitarian organisations. She acquired a bachelor’s in Environmental Science and Urban Planning. She is a passionate person, who believes in the ability of a young generation to change the world for good. She believes this can be done through a multi-sectoral approach between livelihoods, advanced urban planning, environmental protection programs, and research.
Stella (Founder and Board member)
Stella is one of the founders of DNCR.
Stella is the Savings and Livelihoods Officer at Actogether Uganda. With a degree in Adult and Community Education and a certificate in Resource MMobilisation, she brings a diverse set of experiences into her work. Throughout her academic career, she directed her studies towards community engagement and participation and financial literacy training with a focus on youth and women. In her professional career, she has worked in managing various projects related to resource mobilisation, M&E, accountability, transparency, mentorship, livelihoods, and financial literacy.
Augustine (Executive Director and Board member)
Augustine joined DNCR as a board member and Executive Director in January 2020.
Augustine is the Executive Director at DNCR. He has completed a degree in procurement, logistics, value chain and supplies management and has a diploma in Business Studies and Administration. Further, he has certifications in Marketing, Fundraising and Counselling services. Therefore, he brings a diverse set of skills and experience into his responsibilities.
Augustine has served in different positions within the not-for-profit and for-profit sectors and has gained experience in regard to effectiveness, leadership and business development, transparency and accountability.
Tanisha (Board member)
Tanisha joined DNCR as a board member in May 2022.
With a degree in Event Management and a Master’s in International Development, she brings a diverse set of skills and experience to her work. Currently, she is the Head of Strategic Philanthropy at the charity evaluation platform Kinder. In her professional career, she has gained expertise in the charitable sector in regard to transparency, effectiveness and accountability. Throughout her academic career, she directed her studies towards intersectional feminism, race, gender, and sexuality with a particular focus on youth and education.
MAXINE (Board member)
Maxine joined DNCR as a board member in February 2023.
Holding a master’s degree in Urbanism & Development from the London School of Economics, Maxine specializes in sustainable urban infrastructure and informality in developing and emerging economies. Building on her current position with the C40 Cities Finance Facility, she brings a large skillset to the DNCR team that includes expertise in monitoring and evaluation of project activities as well as integrating equity and inclusion in project conception and design. Her current work and DNCR board member position allow her to combine both her professional and personal ambitions towards creating more sustainable and equitable cities.
